Southeast Missouri State University had updated its mascot, Rowdy, for the new Spring 2019 semester and needed someone to recreate a new design illustration as it was now outdated. Rowdy's personality was also not developed and the illustration was needed in order to start developing it.
Wings Etc., a family-friendly Grill & Pub located in the Midwest region, had partnered with the university as they wanted the Rowdy illustration on the kids menu in Cape Girardeau. Not only will Rowdy be on a menu, but the illustration will also be introduced to kids via coloring pages and introduced to older target audiences with other materials.
I was given the opportunity to recreate and update the character design of Rowdy. The new illustration was extremely well received and will be the permanent illustration for decades to come.
